There are many ways to get involved with our church. Some of the
committees and positions with their missions are listed below.
Contact the lay leadership committee through the church office if you
are interested in volunteering for any of the committees.
Committee membership for the following year is developed in the
November-December timeframe.
Mission: To create a Caring Christian Community by:
Sponsoring and/or supporting fellowship opportunities
Welcoming newcomers and integrating them into the family
with grace and intentionality.
Caring for people in need or crisis within the church family
Mission: To develop Christian Educational
Opportunities for adults and children, including:
Sunday School
Vacation Church School
Special short-term courses
Intergenerational classes
Mission: To manage income and disbursement of funds
by:
Developing a budget
Encouraging tithing and planned giving
Keeping the congregation abreast of state of finances
Developing/practicing sound financial policies
Historian
Mission: To collect, store and organize our verbal
and pictorial past.
Lay Leader
Mission: To foster communication among working
groups within the church and to link parishioners, staff, and
committees to resources within our church.
Lay Member to Annual Conference
Mission: To represent our congregation as a voting
delegate at Annual Conference. To communicate information
regarding Conference resources and policies to our congregation.
Membership Secretary
Mission: To encourage/educate constituents with
respect to membership and hold accountable those who have taken
membership vows.
Mission: To identify and promote solutions to needs in our
community and the world.
Mission: To create a safe environment for infants/toddlers
by monitoring the quality of childcare and overseeing the Nursery
regarding sanitation, safety and space usage.
Mission: The Staff-Parish Relations Committee is the
administrative unit in a local church where staff and congregational
interests are integrated to focus on the mission of the church.
Mission: To maintain the physical assets of the
church including:
Parsonage and Church building and grounds
All church owned equipment/vehicles
Manage all monetary investments
Review and sign any contracts
Develop building use policies/agreements
Mission: To assist and support all worship
activities by:
Organizing Sunday services
Planning Seasonal services and activities
Training worship assistants
Coordinating aspects of worship: worship assistants, music,
bulletins, guest speakers, themes, paraments, and other
visual enhancements
Youth Leadership Team
Mission: To provide Christian oriented opportunities
for youth to be involved in, including:

Spiritual growth
