YOU Accomplish the Mission of the Church
Whether it’s planning what Mission projects this church supports,
planning the worship services, or deciding what maintenance projects are
the most important, people like YOU are the ones that make it happen.
Sunday attendance is critical to our individual spiritual growth, but
doing the work of Christ is initiated during the week by the working
groups made up of people like you. God doesn’t require that you are
able to do all the tasks yourself but that you are willing to work with
others to make sure the job is accomplished.
The church’s committee on Lay Leadership, the group with the
designated task of finding people to work on various committees in the
church, is currently seeking people for the FINANCE Committee (two
members) and the Mission/Outreach Committee (3 members, at least 2 of
whom are men).
The United Methodist Church seeks to balance committees by age,
gender, and length of tenure in the church. In most cases, actual
name-in-the-book membership is not required. Willingness to serve
God and this church is!
