Obituary - Jim Simpson
Jim Simpson, a former member of our church and now of Grovesville, Mo., passed away on May 17th, 2008.
Although in poor health due to Parkinson's disease, Jim died after his clothing caught fire while he burned brush on his property. He died two days later in the hospital. His wife, Pat and 3 surviving sons, Bob, Jim and Terry, and his daughter Karen were with him when he entered God's Kingdom.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to Alaska Children's Services, 4600 Abbott Road, Anchorage, 99507.
While living in Alaska, the Simpson's lost their youngest son, Rusty. Memorials in his honor were also directed to ACS and our church as witnessed by the Bible on our altar. As you may know, Pat Simpson regularly remembers our church with boxes of Christian books for our library.
